The plain terms of being a SideBloomer. Written to be read.

What SideBlooms Is

SideBlooms is a membership and a shopfront for Australian women earning from something of their own, alongside the job that pays the mortgage. We list you, support you and stand beside you. The work, the rate and the reputation are yours.

Membership

Three doors, one membership. Straight in is $29 a month from day one. The Opening is $79 for a first month walked beside you, then $29 a month. The Finding is $109 for a first month walked beside you, then $29 a month. Or $290 for the year, with two months on us. Every price is in Australian dollars. A monthly place renews every month on the same day, and a year renews every year, unless you stop it.

Stopping

You may stop at any time from your studio. Your place runs to the day you have paid to, then ends; nothing further is charged. Your shopfront comes down that day, and everything you wrote stays yours for six months in case you come back.

No Commission, Ever

SideBlooms takes no part of what you earn. What a client pays you is between you and them, and none of it passes through us.

Who We Are, And Are Not

Every SideBloomer is an independent operator running her own business, holding her own insurance, registration and compliance. SideBlooms does not verify, vet, approve or accredit anybody, and anything a member says about herself on her shopfront is her own declaration. We are not a party to any work, booking or arrangement between a member and a client, and we are not responsible for it.

What We Help With, And What We Send Out

We stay inside what we know — listing, pricing, photographs, the ABN process and the practical set-up. For tax, legal, financial or superannuation advice we send you to somebody licensed to give it, and nothing on SideBlooms is that advice.

Your Own Clients, Never Your Employer’s

Build your own clients. Taking your employer’s is the one thing that gets a woman sued, and SideBlooms will never help with it.

Your Words And Pictures

What you put up stays yours. By putting it up you let us show it on SideBlooms so people can find you. Put up only what is yours to put up, and only a photograph that is of you.

The Lending Table

What one member lends another — a room, a tool, a mannequin, an afternoon — is between the two of them. SideBlooms is the table, never a party to the loan, and takes nothing from it.

Privacy

Our Privacy page says exactly what we keep and who can see it, and it is part of these terms.

When A Membership Ends Early

A member who uses SideBlooms to sell what is not hers, to take a client from her employer, or to harass or harm anybody, loses her place without refund.

The Law

SideBlooms is run from Australia by Lamoureux Lane, ABN 40 366 975 511, and these terms follow Australian law. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still stands. We may change these terms; when we do, the date below moves and members are told.
