SideBlooms

Privacy

What you tell SideBlooms is yours. Here is exactly what we keep, who can see it, and what we will never do with it — written to be read.

What We Keep

Your name and the address we write to you at. Your postcode or suburb, so that near you means near you — never your street. What you make in the Atelier: your shopfront, your words, your rate, your hours, and a photograph if you give one. What you write down in your studio about what you are building and what you have taken. Anything you lay on the Lending Table. The day you came in, which door you came through, and the day your place runs to.

Who Can See It

Your shopfront is public — that is the point of it, and everything on it is there because you put it there. Your studio is yours alone. Your postcode is never shown; only how far somebody is from you. Nothing you tell us about your money is shown to anybody, and SideBlooms never sees your earnings — we only know what you choose to write down.

What We Will Never Do

We will never sell your information, share it with another business, or use it to advertise anything to you. No other business of ours is ever told you are here. If a stranger asks this website whether an address belongs to a member, it answers the same way whether it does or not.

Who Else Touches It

Three companies help us run this, and each sees only what its job needs. Stripe takes your card and keeps it — we never see your card number. Postmark carries our letters to you. Mapbox draws the map, and is given only a suburb, never a person.

What Is Yours

All of it. You can change your name and your address yourself, in your studio, any time. You can see everything we hold about you, correct any of it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it — write to joy@sideblooms.com.au and it is done within seven days, with a letter to say so. Under Australian privacy law these are your rights; here they are simply how it works.

How Long We Keep It

While you are a SideBloomer, and for six months after your place ends, in case you come back. After that your shopfront, your studio and your photograph are deleted. Payment records are kept for the seven years Australian tax law requires, and hold nothing of your shopfront.

Cookies

One, to keep you signed in. No tracking, no advertising, nobody else’s.

If Something Goes Wrong

If we ever believe your information has reached somebody it should not have, we will tell you plainly and quickly, and we will tell the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law asks us to.

Questions about any of this are welcome at joy@sideblooms.com.au.
